Let's talk about your favourite pairings, shall we?

There're going to be some fandom slang expressions here, if you don't get the meaning just ask.

And I`ll start with them:




So they're Dean and Castiel from Supernatural and I ship them so hard (intensively) because they just give me the feels (make me very emotional about) I can't handle. It's pretty much the best love story I've ever seen unfolding on the screen, and yes, they are SO canon (you can also use 'so' before verbs, espesially with Present Continuous) and they're SO gonna (= going to) to kiss at the end of season 8!

I like this pairing just because the story very carefully shows us how Cas falls in love with Dean and then falls from Heaven to protect him. And Dean doesn't return the feeling at first, but then very slowly, little by little starts to let Castiel into his life, risking his life for him, etc-etc... until he falls in love big time (very-very-very deeply)! But Dean obviously isn't ready to be out and proud (accept one's homo- or bisexuality openly) yet. But I hope he will! And Cas will be there for him.

«Let’s dive into English или Создание искусственного погружения в языковую среду».

«Когда же я, наконец, уже выучу этот английский?»

Я думаю, этот вопрос волнует многих. Сегодня мы со всех сторон окружены навязчивой рекламой «уникальных методик», «25-го кадра» и прочих потрясающих «новинок», благодаря которым, как нам кажется, мы сможем выучить английский язык за считанные недели. Мы стартуем с энтузиазмом, а когда понимаем, что долгожданная отметка «английский выучен» так и не достигнута, разочаровываемся и решаем, что, возможно, у нас просто нет способностей, а, значит, цель недостижима в принципе. Но это не так. Посудите сами, ведь все мы свободно говорим на родном языке, мы все освоили этот навык, а это значит, что и второй язык выучить вполне реально.

Первое, что нужно определить для себя: изучение любого иностранного языка – довольно длительный процесс. Причем, в наших силах сделать этот процесс увлекательным и интересным. Ведь язык – это не просто набор слов и грамматических правил, а прежде всего средство коммуникации с другим человеком, способ узнать больше о нем самом и его культуре. Как раз в процессе общения и происходит наиболее естественное усвоение как лексических, так и грамматических единиц языка. Именно поэтому метод изучения английского языка с полным погружением считается наиболее эффективным и быстрым способом выучить язык. Но что же делать, если вы не можете позволить себе длительное проживание в англоговорящей стране? Ответ на этот вопрос вы найдете в моей лекции, которая будет посвящена созданию искусственного погружения в языковую среду.

В лекции я расскажу о том:
• как работает метод погружения;
• почему он наиболее эффективен;
• каким образом мы можем в нашей повседневной жизни максимально окружить себя английской речью;
• какова роль студента и преподавателя в изучении языка;
• какими критериями следует руководствоваться при выборе языковых курсов или частного преподавателя;
• как построить свой индивидуальный график изучения иностранного языка.

Лекция будет построена на примере изучения английского, но рассматриваемый подход может быть интересен изучающим любой язык.

September is coming to its end already but I can't stop thinking about summer which was so brief and short. So...

Let's talk about SUMMER!!! What was it like? Have you had any unusual experiences? As for me, I've taught pre-school children and I've run my first teacher training programme ever! So it's been all work and no rest for me.

But I hope your summer went a lot better!

In a panic he glanced down and saw the rope that was already getting close to taut. Figuring that a few broken bones was better than castration he jumped out of the window after the boulder. As he plummeted toward the ground he saw a large sign on the ground that read:

Space RPG speaking intensive for people from Moscow and its region.
1 июля (воскресенье) планирую провести у себя дома очень необычный разговорный интенсив по английскому, рассчитанный на уровень от strong Intermediate и выше.
Интенсив будет представлять собой кабинетную коммуникативную ролевую игру. Игра техногенная, мир - космический. Игра рассчитана на 10 игроков. У каждого будет карточка с ролью, инвентарь и задание, которое нужно будет выполнить в течение игры.
Вся коммуникация (от раздачи ролей до разбора полета) будет проходить исключительно IN ENGLISH!

Стоимость участия в RPG-интенсиве: 1500 р.

Как будет проходить RPG-интенсив:

30 июня (суббота) вечером состоится предварительный сбор, будет рассказано о мире игры, розданы роли. Нужно будет внимательно прочесть свою историю и в личном порядке задать мне все интересующие вопросы. Дома нужно будет подготовиться, прикинуть, какая лексика и грамматика может понадобиться для выполнения задания, сочинить какой-нибудь элемент костюма, в общем, войти в роль.

1 июля (воскресенье) В районе 11-и часов общий сбор, выдача инвентаря, консультация по лексике и граматике в индивидуальном порядке.
В 12:00 начинается игра.
Сама игра может занять от 2-х до 4-х часов (тут все целиком и полностью зависит от активности игроков).
После чего будет традиционный "разбор полетов" минут на 30-40, где раскрываются роли, обговариваются стратегии, обсуждается отыгрыш и т.п.
Затем будет завершающий языковой этап минут на 60-80: разбор интересных фраз, прозвучавших в процессе игры, ошибок; работа с проблемными грамматическими и лексическими областями, которые определятся по ходу игры.

Таким образом, интенсив займет у вас практически весь день, за который вы получите возможность активизировать имеющиеся у вас знания, задействовать их в процессе прохождения личного квеста и по окончании игры получить не только групповую, но и персональную обратную связь от меня по своим сильным и слабым сторонам в английском + советы по дальнейшему развитию языковых навыков (отправляется по e-mail на следующий день).

Ну что, есть желающие? (стучаться ко мне в умыл).

Вообще я такие штуки планирую проводить довольно регулярно, если будет спрос Вообще подумываю запустить такой проект у нас в компании, но через компанию это точно будет стоить дороже, так что для своих готов проводить подобные мероприятия у себя

Фред, и остальные участники сообщества тоже, помогите мне пожалуйста с одной ситуацией
У меня уровень pre-intermediate to intermediate, и я ищу интересные упражнения на listening для подготовки к ЕГЭ, которые я буду закидывать в плеер и слушать-слушать-слушать, а потом их же начитывать для себя вслух. Собственно, это мне поможет как в облегчении с заданиями на листенинг, так и в фонетике, в произношении, и в том числе для пополнения словарного запаса.
Я буду очень и очень признательна, если кто-то скинет мне ссылки именно на скачивание аудио-файлов (а не на прослушивание онлайн, как на многих сайтах, которые я просмотрела), и чтобы к аудио прилагались тексты, которые я смогла бы читать
Было бы великолепно, если бы тексты были интересными и познавательными, а не скучными, вроде очередного рассуждения на тему "You are going to buy a new car?" или "I think, French is more interesting then English..." Может, темы такие пусть будут, но поданы интереснее, а то тошнит уже от слушания одного и того же

Right now I`m obsessed with this man. I guess, you recognize him, don't you?


His name's Sherlock Holmes and he is the best consulting detective EVER! Frankly speaking, the only one!
I like the idea of Sherlock living in the 21st century cause the series is absolutely fabulous with lots of gay jokes about Sherlock and John. I love John, too, by the way. He's so cute and adorable, I can't help admiring him!

So... Sherlock... We can't call him handsome, though he is incredibly charismatic, sometimes even charming. He's quite tall and slim, and he's got such pretty curly dark hair. I love his curls! I`m also in love with his awesome prominent cheekbones and this stern look when he's thinking about the case.

I also love his character. Sherlock is a self-confident genius (well... may be he shows off a little too much... but Watson likes it anyway), and energetic when it comes to cracking a case. He can also be rather introverted and unsociable when he's got nothing to do. I like the way his eyes flash, when a sudden revelation comes to him and he feels that he's close to solving a mystery.

All in all, he's absolutely adorable and I recommend all of you to watch this fascinating series. You won't regret it!!!
